Mytra Berry, Digital Marketing Manager

We’re excited to introduce Mytra Berry, the new Digital Marketing Manager at the National Disability Center for Student Success. Mytra, a Houston, Texas native, joins us with extensive experience in marketing, strategic planning, and user engagement. Her role will address crucial components of marketing outreach — focusing on increasing Center awareness, refining our digital communications, and advising the Leadership Team.

Key Marketing Responsibilities

As a core member of our Communications Team, Mytra will spearhead all digital communications, oversee platform content management, and ensure our brand connects effectively with our diverse audiences. Her tasks include:

  • Developing and managing our digital marketing strategies.
  • Enhancing the user experience on our website.
  • Leading our social media efforts to engage more directly with our community.

Professional Background

Mytra Berry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Houston and has a track record of excelling in senior marketing positions. At Skilltype, a library talent management platform, she led website management, social media, and event marketing as Head of Marketing and Communications. Prior to this, she served at 3M, a renowned global science company, as the Global Product Content Lead, where her digital marketing campaigns significantly boosted user engagement and sales.

Commitment to Accessibility and Advocacy

Besides Mytra’s marketing skills, she’s shown a strong commitment to advocacy through various roles. She serves as a team captain for the Lupus Foundation of America’s Walk to End Lupus Now event. She also led the 3M Black Leadership Advancement Coalition (BLAC) Texas chapter.  Additionally, her time as a student worker at the University of Houston’s Center for Students with Disabilities has uniquely prepared her for her role at the Center.

Looking Ahead

Mytra’s expertise promises to propel our digital communication strategies, enabling more frequent and inclusive digital outreach to bolster student success. We eagerly anticipate the positive impact our digital marketing manager will have in driving our mission forward.
