The National Disability Center is seeking passionate individuals to help improve its website’s accessibility and user experience (UX). Your feedback and participation will directly impact efforts to create a more inclusive online environment.

Are you interested in UX and want to help improve accessibility for students and faculty? This project aims to gather insights through user testing to improve the accessibility and overall user experience of our services for students and faculty. 

It should only take you 5-10 minutes to complete the pre-screening on your phone, and it’s completely confidential. Then, from submissions we will select participants for a 1-hour Zoom interview.

As a UX subject, you’ll:
  • Participate in a 1-hour interview
  • Provide feedback on navigating the Center’s website
  • Help shape an improved user experience for all visitors
This pre-screening is for eligible participants who meet all of the following criteria:
  • Location: Resides in the United States or its territories
  • Age: 18 years or older
  • Affiliation (must meet one of the following):
    • Higher Education Faculty or Staff member, OR
    • Researcher in a field similar or related to the National Disability Center for Student Success, OR
    • Student currently enrolled in a 4-year university, 2- or 4-year community college, or a technical training program who has a disability (including non-apparent disabilities like ADHD or depression, or recent onset conditions such as long term COVID or a health issue lasting longer than four months)
  • Availability: Available for an interview between October 22 and November 22, 2024

No prior UX experience needed.

A Few More Details

The pre-screening is confidential, and all questions are required to submit. These interviews are approved by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the University of Texas at Austin.
