Looking to gain volunteer experience in User Experience (UX)? Join an exciting UX project this semester with the National Disability Center for Student Success and help create a more accessible digital environment!

About the UX Project

The National Disability Center is seeking passionate individuals to help improve it’s website’s accessibility and user experience. Your feedback and participation will directly impact efforts to create a more inclusive online environment.

Ways to Participate

Option 1: Volunteer UX Evaluation Team

Your responsibilities will include testing website features, providing feedback on design and functionality, and participating in discussions to improve user experience and digital accessibility. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in UX and contribute to creating a more accessible online environment.

Requirements

  • 18+ years old
  • Currently enrolled in The University of Texas at Austin
  • Available for 5-10 hours this semester to help evaluate website
  • Understanding in user experience and digital accessibility

Option 2: Student Subject

Your responsibilities will include sharing your honest feedback on the National Disability Center’s website. No prior experience in UX is needed — just a willingness to discuss your experiences navigating the site. Your input will directly help the Center understand what works, what doesn’t, and how to improve the website for all users.

Requirements

  • 18+ years old
  • Currently enrolled in The University of Texas at Austin
  • Available to participate in a 1-hour interview to share your perspective on website
  • No UX experience required
